Process safety expert joins growing team at BPE

BPE has appointed Robert Bussey as process safety manager as it continues to expand its team of experts in Hampshire and the north west.

Robert has an impressive background in process safety spanning 20 years. During that time he has overseen a wide range of projects within the pharmaceutical and chemicals sectors, both in the UK and globally.

Most recently he was associate director of process safety (EMEA) for pharmaceutical major MSD. There, he led on process safety for Merck sites within Europe and across the world. He has also held roles with Synthomer (formerly Yule Catto) and Chilworth Technology during his long and successful career.

Robert will be instrumental in overseeing process safety for BPE’s clients, including HAZOP and ATEX projects. With a wealth of knowledge on the sector, he’ll also be involved in sharing best practice with BPE’s clients and contributing to the company’s thought leadership programme.

Robert said: “I’m thrilled to join the BPE team. It has a strong reputation within the industry, particularly for its process safety knowledge, and I am looking forward to bringing my experience to the team.”

Noel Quigley, managing director, added: “Robert’s expertise really is unrivalled and will be of huge benefit to our clients. We seek the very best to join our team and Robert has demonstrated technical excellence, deep experience and a passion for improvement and innovation. We look forward to working with him as we continue to expand.”
