Advanced chemical engineering gears up for annual showcase

One of the biggest events in the world’s chemical engineering calendar takes place in November and BPE will be at the centre of the action as an official event supporter.

The IChemE awards celebrate chemical, process and biochemical engineering excellence. Established in 1994, they attract interest from all over the globe and are widely recognised as the world's most prestigious chemical engineering awards.

As an active member of the IChemE, BPE is both supporting and attending the global event, which takes place at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole on November 2.

Managing director Mike Brown said: “The IChemE awards showcase the very best chemical engineering projects from across the world and the event is something we look forward to every year. Having been shortlisted as a finalist before, we know just what it takes to impress the judges and can’t wait to see which projects win big this year.”

BPE has a long association with the IChemE. Most of the company’s chemical engineers are Chartered and many are Fellows of the IChemE and this year BPE worked with the institution to deliver its award winning dust explosions risk training.
